To Advocate or not to Advocate
"As a father with three sons all in their 40’s, as a military veteran of Vietnam who was exposed to Agent Orange, as a 21 year PCa survivor whose cancer has returned, I am deeply concerned about stopping this disease and the lack of robust PCa advocacy as compared to other cancer advocacy programs...."

New Hampshire
The excitement is building for The New Hampshire Prostate Cancer Coalition’s Prostate Cancer Ski Challenge. It will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012, at McIntyre Ski Area in Manchester beginning at 6:00pm. This is the Prostate Cancer Coalition’s most important fundraiser of the year, and it is your opportunity to help us and make a difference in the lives of New Hampshire families who have loved ones dealing with prostate cancer.
The Prostate Cancer Ski Challenge will include 4-person ski team races, tubing for all, the mayor’s Challenge Tube Race, free food, a live band, prizes, raffles and an auction. A cash beer and wine bar will also be available. The entry fee for the ski race is $249 for a 4-person team. One member of the team must be a snowboarder or a woman. For friends, family and non-racers, the general admission fee is $20 to enjoy tubing, food and soft drinks.
Please join Us for the Prostate Cancer Ski Challenge, our most important fundraiser all year.
New Jersey
Governor Christie signed into law what we believe to be the first resolution passed by a state legislature memorializing the United States Congress to seek the withdrawal of the draft recommendation issued in fall 2011 by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommending against PSA screening for men of all ages. The newly signed resolution -- AJR 89/SJR 77 -- would not exist but for the leadership of NJPCAC. Our organization drafted the resolution, secured the legislative sponsors in the Assembly and Senate, and generally led the charge in educating our State legislators and the Christie Administration about the potentially harmful effects of the USPSTF recommendation. This effort is a perfect example of the tangible impact that our Prostate Cancer Coalition of New Jersey is having for the betterment of patient care and smart health care policy in the State.
