What you can do
Whether you are recently diagnosed - or recovering from - prostate cancer, a family member, a friend, or just someone concerned, there are things you can do to help fight prostate cancer.
Extend your advocacy and support beyond the Internet. Send letters to your family, friends, associates, church groups, lodges, medical community - encourage them to join you and us in advocating for legislation that may be scheduled for immediate discussion or vote.
Legislation that is most effective is that which increases prostate cancer research funding; support for clinical trials; insurance coverage of prostate cancer treatments, including experimental treatments; and a host of other prostate cancer issues.
Make every effort to visit your elected officials, call their local and national offices (see the section on How to Contact Your Elected Officials). Keep the pressure on our elected officials - remember the adage,"the squeaky wheel gets greased." Lets all squeak in one loud united voice.
